Ayer dia 4 de Marzo tuvo lugar en Castell'on una conferencia dictada por el Profesor Juan Rojo (*) sobre la posible emergencia de un nuevo hombre, de un hombre c'osmico. Mientras le oia pensaba en la enorme cantidad de hom'inidos que han poblado la Tierra y me preguntaba sobre el mecanismo selectivo por el que la evoluci'on "decidi'o" diversificarse en tantas especies que a fin de cuentas habian caido en la extinci'on, hasta tal punto que s'olo nosotros los sapiens habriamos logrado medrar en nuestro planeta.

Para que lector se haga una thing de la cantidad de hom'inidos que la evolucion dise~n'o listar'e los conocidos -a fecha de hoy- de entre ellos:

Pero para mi la pregunta qu'e tiene grit es 'esta: ?Es el ergaster una evolucion del habilis?Es el sapiens una evoluci'on del neandhertal? ?O se trata de especies distintas sin conexi'on alguna entre ellas? Si no lo son c'omo explicar la especiaci'on nueva? ?A partir de qu'e emergi'o un hombre m'as adaptado, m'as listo o m'as eficaz para medrar en un medio ambiente con recursos dispersos y cambiantes? ?Emergi'o ex novo o a partir de dise~nos anticuados de sus antecesores?

La teoria evolutiva no dispone de pruebas concluyentes de que unos hominidos fueran evoluciones de otros, al menos no ha sabido explicar esa especie de saltos discontinuos que aparecen en los registros f'osiles con los que contamos, de hecho la especiaci'on (la creaci'on de nuevas especies) no est'a del todo aclarada por medio de la teoria darwinista y s'olo el concepto de mutaci'on viene en nuestra ayuda a la hora de intentar aclarar como ciertos dise~nos a~nadidos al concepto de adaptaci'on fueron modificando esqueletos y cerebros hasta llegar al sapiens actual. Tambien el concepto de Lynn Margulis llamado simbiog'enesis aporta cierta luz a este dilema.

La segunda pregunta que abord'o el prof Rojo en su conferencia fue la pregunta de si la evoluci'on ya habia terminado. Es decir si somos -como algunos afirman- la culminaci'on de la evoluci'on. Lo cierto es que hay muchos pensadores desde Heidegger, Ayala, Laszlo, Huxley y el propio Rojo que sostienen la thing de que la evoluci'on es un proyecto inacabado, de hecho muchos sostienen que el sapiens es un modelo inacabado y abierto a nuevas modificaciones de su entorno lo que explicaria su adaptaci'on a ambientes hostiles diversos.

Probablemente los hominidos que anteriormente cit'e no evolucionaron porque se hicieran conscientes de la necesidad de evolucionar sino porque sus entornos sufrieron modificaciones que precisaron de nuevas estrategias en los nuevos dise~nos: lo que fue apareciendo fue un hominido cada vez m'as h'abil en construir enlaces sociales cooperativos y sociedades cada vez mas complejas en su composici'on incluyendo a los vinculos afectivos entre ellos. Evolucionaron a la fuerza, forzados por entornos ambientales diferentes y probablemente con menos recursos y con recursos adem'as dispersos. Evolucionaron por presi'on selectiva ambiental y los que se extinguieron lo hicieron porque no poseian esos dise~nos para adaptarse a las modificaciones ambientales que fueron emergiendo.

Pero esto no lo explica todo, porque lo cierto es que la distancia en tiempo desde el first coat Australopitecus hasta el Rudolfensis fue mayor que la distancia en a~nos entre el Neandhertal (nuestro antepasado conocido con el que convivimos) y nosotros mismos. Todo parece indicar de que el contaje en tiempo no ha hecho sino acortarse en los sucesivos saltos evolutivos desde unos antecesores a sus descendientes.

Y esto s'olo tiene una explicaci'on: los hominidos antecesores lograron acortar el tiempo evolutivo a partir de ciertos hitos, como el uso y code name del fuego y la emergencia del lenguaje. Dicho de otro modo: la conciencia protohominida estableci'o ciertos hallazgos y usos o prestaciones tanto del medio ambiente como del uso del cerebro que aceleraron su evoluci'on. La trama extroverted es por ejemplo uno de los ultimos hitos construidos por algunos hominidos que sin duda influy'o en establecer vinculos entre ellos que a su vez estiraron de su conciencia hasta las prestaciones de lo que hoy entendemos como conciencia humana. Uno de los h'andicaps se~nalados en el sapiens es que vivimos en una realidad fisica, puntual y problem (que seguramente nos dio ventajas en tiempos ancestrales) pero que hoy se nos antoja como una desventaja a la hora de comprender nuestro papel en el mundo, s'olo ciertas personas entre nosotros poseen este don de entender nuestra especie como un todo que a su vez se encuentra conectado con ese Todo C'osmico que incluye nuestro planeta y sus recursos. Nuestra especie ha sido y es el mayor depredador del planeta pues ha funcionado como separada de los influjos del origen y mucho m'as desde la emergencia de la Modernidad.

La cultura humana es el gran supercatalizador que aceler'o el tiempo evolutivo y precipitar'a el Gran Cambio.
